If you had told me a few months ago that I would be building a website to share my Family Poems I would have said that you were crazy.

Outside of sending an occasional email, and looking at pictures of my grandchildren online I don't have much time for computers or the Internet. I was interested however in finding a way to preserve my families collection of poems.

My daughter has a friend who self publishes books and she suggested I talk to him. Perhaps we could have some books printed with the poems and send them to different members of the families.

I explained to him what I had in mind and as we talked through different options, he said that it was a shame to just keep the poems to our family and that we should consider sharing them with others.

When I said I didn't think anyone would buy it, he suggested building a website. He told me about SiteSell and their flagship product SiteBuildIt and that if you could surf the Internet and send an email that was all the technical skill you needed.

I didn't really believe him, but I agreed to take a look. He showed me several sites that others had built and how they were making money from them. Although I have done most of the work myself, he has been a godsend when I have questions or can't figure something out.

His name is Bernie Malonson and luckily for me he actually is an instructor in SiteSell's online education program. He also teaches a course at the University of Arizona on building a web based business and does private coaching as well.
